Pharrell Presents ‘G I R L’ Exhibition At The Galerie Perrotin

Pharrell continues to be a Renaissance man. From being hailed a superproducer for [insert your favorite artist here] to bringing “Happy” to the entire world thanks to his second solo album, the multi-hyphenate also keeps his passion for art alive and well. This past May, P unveiled the ‘G I R L’ exhibition, a retrospective ode to femininity inspired by his latest musical offering of the same name. The exhibition, housed at Galerie Perrotin in Paris, explores the feminine perspective of 30 artists including Takashi Murakami and Sophie Calle. “To be able to collaborate with these artists and walk around in their spaces, you’re walking around in their minds. No university can offer you that,” Pharrell explained. Some of the eccentric pieces featured were portraits of Marilyn Monroe, pop art depictions of Skateboard P alongside wife Helen, and even up close and personal images of the female anatomy. Even though the gallery closed last month on June 25, you can flip through the pieces above.
