Willow Smith Talks Dropping Out of ‘Annie’ With Teen Vogue

Willow Smith Teen Vogue

Looking like her mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith sits down with Teen Vogue. Unlike most adolescents her age, a lot has changed since the 13-year-old last chatted with the magazine. For starters her hair color and the headlining news blurbs.

Last year the youngest Smith made a life changing decision that reverted her from a child star to just a child when she dropped out of her father, Will Smith’s, remake of Annie.

“To be honest, something inside me was just, like, don’t,” she said as to why she gave up the role of a lifetime that now belongs to Quvenzhane Wallis. “I’m very connected with my intuition.”

And by intuition, that includes her fashion (“My style is who I am all the time, and who I am always changes”) as well as her hair color. In a series of flicks showing off her argyle socks and tie dye t-shirts, the singer declares her current color of choice, “Blondes do have more fun!”

You can read more about it in the August 2014 Kesha cover.
