Here’s How 50 Cent Showed Support During Remy Ma’s Prison Sentence

Remy Ma made her rounds with interviews this week, dropping by radio stations and television networks to share details on her time in prison and give updates on forthcoming music. In an interview with BET, the Bronx rapstress gave a special shoutout to 50 Cent for his support while she was away. “When I needed letters for my appeal, saying that if in fact I was released I would have a job and this is how I would stay out of trouble and reintegrate into society,” she said. “50 Cent had no problem not once, but twice signing letters saying that, ‘She would definitely have somewhere to work.’ And it wasn’t a delay. I didn’t feel like I had to chase anybody around.” SEE ALSO: FAQ: Everything Millenials Should Know About Remy Ma Also citing Keyshia Cole, French Montana, Rick Ross and Jadakiss as those she kept in contact with during her six-year bid, Remy expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love from her peers. “I think they genuinely felt for my situation,” she added. “They didn’t look at me as Remy Ma the rapper. I was Remy and ‘Whatever you need I got you.’ And I never felt like anybody I was talking to was fake or just saying it because I was on the phone with them.” Remy also touched on the rift between Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj, offering her opinion that the two ladies would have to work matters out on their own. “From what I saw, the beef that happened with Nicki and Kim, I think it’s something that they have to handle. I don’t think I would be able to mediate the situation,” she said. “It’s like me, anything I say on a record, I have to be talking about Nicki Minaj. That’s what everyone says. But you’re not talking about anybody. You’re supposed to say you’re the best. You’re supposed to say you’re the queen.” [ooyala code=”h4OHJwdTqwvn_AMbqTNnp3LBfptNodrT” player_id=”8bdb685537af477d8cd5ea1ebd611511″]
