Justin Bieber Must Attend Anger-Management Course In DUI Case

Justin Bieber must attend

Justin Bieber is finally off the hook for drunk driving charges stemming from his run-in with the law in Miami for driving under the influence earlier this year.

The Miami Herald reports that the state of Florida will drop the DUI charges and Bieber will plead guilty to misdemeanor careless driving and resisting arrest without violence. In exchange, Justin Bieber must attend a 12-hour anger-management course (private classes to prevent fan frenzy) and pay court fine in addition to a $50,000 charitable donation. The plea deal does not include any time behind bars.

On Jan. 23, the 20-year-old singer participated in an alleged drag race on South Beach in a rented Lamborghini along with a Ferrari driven by his friend, R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff. While alcohol tests determined that his level was below the 0.02 limit for underage drivers, urine tests found traces of marijuana and the anti-anxiety drug Xanax in his system.

His lawyers will appear before Miami-Dade County Judge Bill Altfield on Wednesday (Aug. 13), but not the Biebs himself.
