Twitter Reacts To Mike Brown Obit With #NoAngel

News

As the unrest in Ferguson, Mo., continues, thousands gathered today (Aug. 25) to pay their respects and say goodbye to Mike Brown. Brown’s mother Lesley McSpadden and his father, Mike Brown Senior, along with Civil Rights leaders Rev. Al Sharpton and Martin Luther King III and members of the community all offered their support at the funeral of “Mike Mike.” As the media scrambles to gather the facts of the story, New York Times writer John Eligon wrote an obituary on the slain teen and used the words “no angel” to describe the 6’4 college-bound kid who sometimes got into trouble. Twitter didn’t take too kindly to Eligon’s choice of words and shortly after the hashtag “no angel” emerged. Here are some of the best reactions to #NoAngel
