Prince to Release Two New Albums ‘ART OFFICIAL AGE’ and ‘PLECTRUMELECTRUM’

As the leaves began to change, so will the music in our playlist. Prince is planning on dropping two projects this fall: ART OFFICIAL AGE and PLECTRUMELECTRUM  via Warner Bros. Records.

ART OFFICIAL AGE will be a classic solo album from the musician. It’s described as “a contemporary concoction of soul, R&B, and funk.” Alongside Joshua Welton, Alexander Nevermind produced, arranged, composed, and performed the entire 10-track first-part-project.

PLECTRUMELECTRUM is a classic band spin with 3RDEYEGIRL. Guitarist Donna Grantis, Drummer Hannah Ford Welton, and Ida Nielsen on bass will join Prince for this funk-rock album. It was recorded live and in analog.

In preparation for the musical genius that’ll arrive the last day of September, Prince released “CLOUDS” off his solo album. Prince addresses the age of social media in this Lianne La Havas-assisted psychedelic record.

Both albums are now available for pre-order via digital retailers. Press play to hear “CLOUDS.”
