Robin Williams' Ashes Scattered In San Francisco Bay
Academy-award winner Robin Williams' body was cremated the day after his death, and his ashes were scattered over the San Francisco Bay, The L.A. Times reports
The 63-year-old actor was found dead in his home after an apparent suicide earlier this month and a private funeral attended by family and close friends was held for the comedic star last week.
News of Williams' suicide sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment community. Celebrities and fans of the Hollywood star--including Good Will Hunting co-star Ben Affleck, Jimmy Fallon, Ellen DeGeneres and Bill Cosby-- all showed their support for the comedic icon.
Those close to Williams maintain while Williams was able to bring joy to everyone he met, he suffered from a deep depression. His wife Susan Schneider revealed in an open letter Williams was also from early stages of Parkinson's Disease, which may have aided in his suicide.
Rest In Peace, oh captain, my captain.
