Tisha Campbell-Martin Speaks Out For The First Time About Being Raped

My Wife and Kids actress Tisha Campbell-Martin made the brave decision to discuss the fact that she had been raped by an older person at the age of three to help another woman who had recently been the victim of a similar crime.

While speaking at The Daily Helpline TV show, Tisha revealed the incident that she had kept hidden all these years.

“You can no longer be a victim, you have to be victorious at this point,” she said. “You can’t play the victim because at this point I’m not saying this to put you down or anything. What I’m saying is that he is winning, and you are allowing him to win. You are making a conscious decision to harm yourself to hurt yourself and allow this person to still have dominion over your life. You can’t do that anymore.”

“The reason why I can absolutely say this to you without judgement or anything else and this is the first time I’ve ever admitted this on camera in front of millions of people is that I, too, have been a victim of the same thing,” she continued. “When I was three I was raped, by an older person. Now I knew as a child I did nothing wrong and that this wasn’t my fault but I found forgiveness in the guilt that I might’ve had.”

We’re proud of Tisha for sharing such a personal experience and hope it will help other women who have been unfortunate enough to go through the same thing. Watch the full video on the next page.
