Turnt Up: Must-Listen Trap Anthems Of Summer 2014

With summer hitting it’s halfway point at the stroke of August, we’ve still got plenty of festivals, BBQs and summertime partying to do.

So get out of the trap house and into the sun with hi-hats, 808s and all the trapped out goodness the warmer months have to offer.

1. Lookas-Loko
Debuting his first ever original, this some trap that will make you go “Loko.” Icon Production School graduate, LooKas is creating some hype festival trap for everyone to bounce to with his new tune, Loko. Merging big room electro, with trap, fans of Carnage, DJ Snake, and Party Favor are going to be eagerly awaiting his next release.

2. Pompeii (Slander Heaven Trap Edit) – Bastille & Audien & Party Thieves

As always Slander provides a beautiful and melodic trap look on an indie track. Taking the Bastille favorite, “Pompeii” and turning it into their “heaven trap” signature style, the producers have found their niche. These young guys have nothing but stars in their future with a slew of new music and a newly announced Vegas residency.

3. Adventure Club- Gold (Candyland & REVOKE Remix)
Electro duo Candyland are no strangers to the dance scene, but they bring out up and comer Revoke for a melodic trap remix for Adventure Club. This song is an experiment for Candyland fans, as the duo is revealing a fresh new side- and it’s “gold,” a must-listen if you like heavy subs and great melodies.

4. Armin Van Buuren- Ping Pong (Dani Deahl Remix)
Watch out trance fam, you’re about to get trapped up. Dani Deahl takes AVB hit, “Ping Pong” and flips it on its side. Introducing a barrage of 808’s, and massive drops, there’s no way you can’t get down and twerk. Artists such as the Chainsmokers and ETC!ETC! have already given it high praise, so rest assured you’ll definitely be hearing it around the festival circuit this summer.

5. Schoolboy Q – Hell Of A Night (YOGI REMIX)
It’s always exciting to hear new music coming from the OWSLA camp as its never conventional or sonically cookie cutter. This stays true with Yogi’s remix of School Boy Q’s “Hell Of A Night,” as he blends techno, glitch hop with heavy trap drops. OWSLA has unearthed one hell of a produce to their already tight roster.

6. Caked Up – Bang Your Head Ft. Mikey Cross
The remix master duo has done it again, but this time with a well-crafted original. It’s obvious upon listening that Caked Up has matured over the past few years during their epic rise to fame. This tune combines niche genres like twerk and footwork, topped off with the festival madness of trap and electro. Make sure you pick it up August 5 on Buygore Records and bang your head.
