Watch: Junior Sanchez Vs Bad Suns “Salt” Shows SIZE-able Change

LA indie rockers Bad Suns were probably the last band you would imagine releasing on Steve Angello’s SIZE Records. But thanks to their collaboration with the legendary Junior Sanchez, the label’s departure from EDM on this release is quite welcome.

Junior Sanchez vs Bad Suns “Salt” (out now) makes a statement that not all “EDM” or dance music is equal. More of a true electronica sound in the vein of Depeche Mode with a bit of Ska, yes Ska tossed in – “Salt” leaves you a bit thirsty for more alternative dance music.

Are we hoping for a genre resurgence? You betcha! Especially with teasing’s in NY and London of Aphex Twin shows popping up this week. And even though there is a pop sensibility to the lyrics we can easily feel college radio stations and university bars adopting this sound already. Oh did we mention the scandalous monkey video that accompanies the release? Watch for yourself below.
