Watch: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Freestyle Session

Music

It’s not “Ninja Rap” but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back to their hip-hop roots. In a new clip for the rebooted franchise in theaters today, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello & Raphael do their best to avoid Shredder’s Foot Soldiers by riding up an elevator, kicking off a beatboxing cypher along the way.

Just for one more homage to their 80s and 90s glory days, Mikey decides to throw out a “Cowabunga” for old times stake before the four turtle brothers battle Shredder.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is in theaters today (8/9).
