A WorldStar Hip-Hop Movie Is Being Made

Brace yourselves. WorldStarHipHop is coming to a silver screen near you. Deadline reports that Paramount Insurge is set to to make a movie about the popular video site that rose to fame by airing everything from amateur fights to vine compilations.

WorldStarHipHop.com was founded in 2005 by Queens native Lee “Q” O’Denat. The site now garners a whopping 30 million visitors a month.

A few big names are pitching in to bring the WSHH story to audiences nationwide. How to Make It In America creator Ian Edelman is penning the script. Douglas Banker, Trevor Engelson, and WorldStar Q himself are all on board to produce.

Details about the storyline are unavailable, but rumors point to a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off vibe, which sounds…interesting. Ratchet: 1. World: 0. Shooting will begin this fall in New York.
