Kobe Begins His Farewell Tour

This past baseball season, sports fans got all emo over Derek Jeter’s last season. Every team gave him gifts, Jordan Brand showed him RE2PECT and he walked off into the sunset with one last clutch play. Fresh off of what could have been a career ending achilles injury, Kobe’s finally back in the Purple & Gold. The Black Mamba scored 19 points and showed a slightly softer side than we’re used to, consoling his teammate, rookie Julius Randle who broke his leg during the game.

But what everyone is talking about is the levels of shade exchanged between Kobe and former teammate, Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard. After Howard threw his elbows around in Bryant’s face, No.24 had some choice words for the ringless star. Maybe the two of them really didn’t like each other? Although, Bryant did say after the game that it was nothing more than trash talk and that it’s impossible not to like Dwight...“because he’s a teddy bear.”
