6 Things We Hope Lupe Fiasco Raps About On ‘Tetsuo & Youth’

Lupe Fiasco’s fifth album, Tetsuo & Youth, is finally going to be released by Atlantic Records. We’ve been excited about the album for more than a year now, ever since we heard what we thought was going to be album’s breakthrough single, “Old School Love,” featuring Ed Sheeran. But now, after Lupe threatened to put out a new (free) project called Lost in the Atlantic since he couldn’t get a definitive release date for Tetsuo & Youth, Atlantic has finally stepped up to the plate and told us when we can expect Lupe’s new album. It’ll hit stores on January 20, 2015.

What can we expect to hear Lupe rapping about on the project, though? He’s been working on it for so long now that we don’t know. But we do know what we’d prefer to hear. From important issues affecting the entire country (he rapped about surviving cancer on his recent single, “Mission”) to topics that true hip-hop fans will appreciate, these are the six topics we’d like to hear Lupe Fiasco rhymes about on Tetsuo & Youth. —Chris Yuscavage
