Chris Rock Puts A-List Comedians in His Movie About Quitting Comedy ‘Top Five’ [Trailer]

Following a $12.5 million distribution deal with Paramount, Chris Rock’s film Top Five’s trailer arrives.

Putting on multiple hats, the 49-year-old has written, directed, and is starring in his comedic movie about quitting comedy. The Scott Rudin and Eli Bush—produced film is about a “New York City comedian-turned-film star Andre Allen, whose unexpected encounter with a journalist (Rosario Dawson) forces him to confront his comedy career—and the past—that he’s left behind.”

Grabbing many celebrity friends, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan, Whoopi Goldberg, Cedric The Entertainer, Gabrielle Union, J.B. Smoove, Sherri Shepherd, Anders Holm, Romany Malco, Leslie Jones, Michael Che, and Jay Pharoah make up this star studded cast and cameo-driven film. Jay Z and Kanye West are also apart of the project as co-producers and Questlove is the Executive Music Producer.

‘Top Five,’ will open in select theaters on December 5, 2014 and nationwide on December 12, 2014.
