Doctor Who Recently Treated Ebola Patients Rushed To NYC Hospital

A doctor who treated Ebola patients in Guinea, West Africa was hastily brought to Bellevue Hospital in New York City Thursday afternoon (Oct. 23), the New York Post reports.

Craig Spencer, 33, reported a 103-degree fever and experienced nausea. He was then rushed from his Harlem apartment to the hospital where Mayor Bill de Blasio said we will know the condition and results of his health status by tonight. The FDNY hazardous materials specialists proceeded to seal off his fifth floor apartment and blocked off 147th street between Broadway and Amsterdam avenue.

The physician was part of Doctors Without Borders and just returned to JFK airport on Oct. 17 off of a connecting flight from Brussels, Belgium.
