The Latest 'Fast and Furious' Movie Has A New Title
The latest installment in the Fast and Furious franchise sheds the first part of its name. Now titled Furious 7 the upcoming high-speed, car racing film starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Tyrese, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez finds the gang together again, including the late Paul Walker, who tragically passed away during filming.
The newly-released official synopsis for the film leaves much to the imagination, but rounds out the film’s cast:
Continuing the global exploits in the unstoppable franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of Furious 7. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series that also welcomes back favorites Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. They are joined by international action stars new to the franchise including Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey and Kurt Russell. Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel and Michael Fottrell return to produce the film written by Chris Morgan.
The first official Furious 7 trailer will be released next Saturday (Nov. 1) at “The Road to Furious 7: Trailer Launch Event” from Universal Studios in Los Angeles. Fans will be able to tune in on Facebook and E!, where the cast will answer submitted #Furious7 questions.
