No Charge Zone: Keyshia Cole Escapes Prosecution For Attack At Birdman’s Penthouse
After reportedly attacking a woman at Birdman’s Los Angeles penthouse last month, Keyshia Cole will not be prosecuted for the (out of left field) ordeal. According to TMZ, a source in the City Attorney Office confirmed that the singer will instead sit in on an informal office hearing.
Cole was taken into police custody on Sept. 19 after assaulting a woman who was later identified as Sabrina Mercadel, a Cash Money employee. Following her release on $46,000 bail, the singer was then slapped with a restraining order by Mercadel, who claims she was seriously injured in the attack after Cole punched her in the face and threw objects at her.
Both Cole and Mercadel will get the opportunity to tell their sides of the (bizarre) story on their scheduled hearing date, The singer will reportedly be given a warning, after which a decision will be made on whether she should undergo anger management therapy.
Meanwhile, we still have no idea whether or not Cole and Birdman are – or were – an item.
