Lorde’s ‘Royals’ Banned From San Francisco Radio Stations
Don’t turn the dial to KFOG Radio or 96.5 KOIT if you expect to hear Lorde’s “Royals” song. The San Francisco, Calif. stations have reportedly banned the New Zealand singer’s debut hit, temporarily. The track will be reinstated into their lineup once the World Series matchup between the city’s Giants and the Kansas City Royals is over. Fans of the Giants contacted the stations to ban the song from the airwaves, which resulted in the tweet below from KFOG Radio:
No offense, Lorde, but for the duration of the World Series, KFOG Radio will be a "Royals"-free zone. We're sure… http://t.co/7uvseCjb03

The 17-year-old Grammy award winner also said the song was influenced by Royals’ third baseman George Brett.
