Doctor In New York Tests Positive For Ebola
A New York City doctor who returned from a trip to West Africa tested positive for Ebola.
Dr. Craig Spencer, 33, was reportedly working with Doctors Without Borders in Guinea before flying back to to the U.S. last week.
The New York Times reports Spencer took public transportation from Manhattan to Brooklyn where he went to an unidentified bowling alley. It’s unclear if Spencer took a cab or an Uber back to his Harlem apartment. Spencer reported a 103-degree fever and experienced nausea before being rushed to Bellevue Hospital.
The physician returned to JFK airport on Oct. 17 off of a connecting flight from Brussels, Belgium. This is the first known case of Ebola in the tri-state.
