Weekend In NFL: Geno Smith Yanked After 3 Picks, Maclin’s Gatorade Table Spill

Geno Smith’s first quarter performance was facepalm after facepalm after facepalm. When the New York Jets took on the Buffalo Bills Sunday afternoon (Oct. 26) at MetLife Stadium, the Roc Nation signee managed to pick three times. If you missed the shit show, there’s a six-second Vine for that. Also: Michael Vick came off the bench, but Gang Green still lost 43-23 to the Bills. [Deadspin]

Speaking of picks, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan threw the worst INT of the season. During the early morning game against the Detroit Lions in London, Matty Ice flung the ball into a no-Falcon zone at the end of the third quarter. You know, something Geno would do. [Yahoo! Sports]

The Pittsburgh Steelers looked like members of the beehive after the team threw on their 1934 throwback uniforms for Sunday’s showdown against the Indianapolis Colt. The black-and-yellow ensemble didn’t stop them from whupping the Colts’ behinds in the season’s highest-scoring game, 51-34. Ben Roethlisberger also scored big by throwing six touchdowns and 522 yards passing, setting franchise records. [ESPN]

The New Orleans Saints destroyed the Green Bay Packers at home Sunday night, winning 44-23. QB Drew Brees lead the blowout, throwing for 311 yards and three touchdowns. [New Orleans Saints]

Philadelphia Eagles’ Jeremy Maclin isn’t afraid to dive in. During Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, Maclin went crashing through the AZ team’s Gatorade table after what looked like a painful punt return during the third quarter. Despite bleeding from the ear after a collision with Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson earlier in the game, the wide receiver returned to the field only for Philly to endure a four-point loss (20-24) to the Cardinals.
