FLoyd Mayweather's Ex Josie Harris Details Abusive Past With The Boxer
In an exclusive interview with USA Today Sports, Josie Harris, an ex-girlfriend to boxing champion Floyd Mayweather and mother to three of his four children, spoke candidly about life with the undefeated boxer.
"I was a battered woman," Harris said. "I felt embarrassed about saying I was a battered woman. I felt shame. I felt like it was my fault. What did I do? I didn't understand what a battered woman was at that time. Now I know I was in a very dysfunctional, hostile relationship and a victim of domestic violence."
Josie Harris says she was physically abused by Mayweather on six separate occasions, the worst in September 2010 when Mayweather entered Harris' home while she slept, dragged her from her hair out of the bed, punched, kicked and screamed at her. It was their son who snuck out of his room to inform security to call police. As a result, Mayweather spent 90 days in jail.
