Rihanna Reportedly Has Ten Songs Complete, Plans To ‘Outdo’ Herself On New Album

Rihanna is still putting the final touches on her forthcoming album R8, but a few details have been revealed regarding the tight-knit project. According to an interview on Dash Radio with DJ Skee, he unveiled that Rih’s album could arrive before the end of 2014. “That project is a lot closer than anyone realized, including her own record label,” he said. “She’s trying to put out a project to capitalize off the fourth quarter.” DJ Skee also noted that during a listening session for label executives held by the “Diamonds” singer, she played 10 tracks for those in the room, noting that a song allegedly titled “I’ve Been Searching for Something to Ignite Me When I’m Alone” might serve as the lead single.

At a meet-and-greet in Fort Belvoir, Va. on Wednesday (Nov. 12), the 26-year-old artist also discussed her record stating, “I try to battle myself and outdo everything I’ve done and that’s been the hardest thing to do. You start overthinking things at times. I can’t wait for everybody to hear (the music) little by little… little by little. I can’t wait.”
