15 Tips To Get You Headed For Success In 2015
Gone are the days when one would go to school, find a job and stay there until retirement. The 21st century presents a number of challenges for millennials. However, the future is not bleak; you must be ready for the challenges by preparing and if you haven’t started planning for 2015, you’re already behind.
Don’t fret, we’ve compiled 15 tips to jump-start your success in 2015 after the jump.

1. Follow Your Passion
What do you spend most of your time dreaming about? What are your talents? Find what your passions are and build on them. Do a Google search and find all the ways in which you can generate money from your talents. If it’s not something that makes you happy don’t waste your time pursuing it.
2. Create A Vision Board
Purchase a foam board and gather a few magazines. Use those magazines and start searching for words and pictures of how you would like to see your life pan out in the coming year. Once complete, place the vision board somewhere in your home where you will get a glimpse of it everyday.
3. Set Attainable Goals
Write down at least 10 goals you see yourself accomplishing in the coming year. Make sure each goal is direct, thorough and moves you more towards your vision. Dream BIG but be realistic.
4. Start Everyday With Intention That Supports A Goal
Attaining your goal should be at the forefront of your mind ever morning. Remember goals are set out to be achieved therefore everything you do each day of 2015 should be a step towards accomplishing your goals.
5. Find Mentors
Talk to people who have already achieved success in the field you want to pursue. Remember mentoring is not a one way street. Provide vital information to your help your mentors as well.
6. Build A Network
While what you know is important, who you know can take you further. Build healthy work relationships. Create a business card and update your resume. Put all of your important business documents in a personal portfolio.
7. Don’t Be Afraid Of Failure
Oprah wasn’t built in a day and you won’t succeed at everything you do. But that doesn’t mean you quit! When you make a mistake, review the situation strategically and be aware of your weaknesses and what areas need to be improved for the next time.
8. Ask For Help
That network that you built, don’t be afraid to ask them for help. You never know how much people can help you reach the next level in your career. Some of us may find it hard to ask others for assistance, however they may have other ideas, new ways of looking at a current situation or improve your vision.
9. Maintain Good Health
Eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Drink at least eight glasses of water daily and get fresh air. Make sure to take a walk for at least half an hour a day. Most importantly get a sufficient rest.
10. Find A Work And Play Balance
All work will stress you out and all play will deter your goals. You need a balance. At least one a week do something special for yourself.
11. Control Negative Thoughts
How far you go in your career is up to you. Don’t let negative thoughts control your success. We all have negative thoughts at some part of the day; acknowledge them as just a thought and dismiss it and continue on at the work at hand.
Learn time management, it’s essential. Make three list.

13. Know Your Finances
Budget well and save for your future. Create a spreadsheet and indicate all income and expenses and monitor them. Make sure that you are living within your means. Put at least 10% away for savings.
14. Have A Sales Mentality
If you want to get the most out of life and business, learn the skills of effective selling. Whatever your product or service is know it inside and out. Know your target market and their needs and this come from extensive research. Do the work.
15. Be Resilient
Remember to keep going even when all the odds are against you and people tell you it’s ok to give up.
