A$AP Rocky Lands Ferragamo’s 100 Year Anniversary Project ‘A Man’s Story’
The self-procclaimed fashion killer recognized for his eclectic style ranging from avant-garde to street wear has heavily influenced the youth. Pop into an A$AP Mob show and you’ll be bombarded by pre-teens and twenty-somethings draped in Raf Simons, Bape, and Rick Owens– it’s an interesting cult movement of some sort. “I understood how much of an influence I had was when I would walk around Harlem, Downtown, and Soho and always get stopped, complimented or questioned about my attire,” Rocky told Fashionista.
That same daring swag attracted Italian luxury brand, Ferragmo, as they snagged the Harlem native for their 100 year anniversary “A Man’s Story” project. The brand dishes on their reason for choosing Rocky saying, “Rocky’s rewritten the scene’s sartorial rules, bringing high fashion into hip-hop with unprecedented style.” The rapper is featured alongside big names like Douglas Booth, Henrik Lundqvist and Ryan McGinley, all known for defying the rules with their unique style.
