Beanie Sigel Reportedly In Critical Condition After Shooting
After being shot on Friday (Dec. 5), Beanie Sigel is reportedly sedated and unable to speak. The rapper underwent emergency surgery at the AlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, NJ, after which investigators intended to speak with him. But he remains in critical condition, according to NBC 10 Philadelphia.
Beans, whose real name is Dwight Grant, was shot in the stomach outside his Pleasantville, NJ home. Police say that the rapper suffered the gunshot wound after an altercation took place, but that he was not the intended target of the shooting. Another victim, Umar Salahuddin, 22, was also found on the scene with injuries, but refused treatment. Officials executed a search warrant at the Pleasantville residence on Saturday (Dec. 6), but did not disclose any findings. The struggle was reportedly family-related.
Investigators are waiting to gather a statement with Beanie Sigel in regards to the incident. No arrests have been made as yet.
