Beyonce Solidifies Her Name In Grammy History As The Most Nominated Female Artist

Queen Bey’s reign just reached a new plateau.

After the 2014 Grammy Award nominations were announced Friday (Dec. 5), the “Mine” singer received six nods, etching the Houston native’s name in the organization’s history books as the most nominated female artist of all time with 48 recognitions under her belt. The 33-year-old vocalist also gained nods in categories like the coveted Album of the Year and Best Urban Contemporary Album alongside newcomer Sam Smith who tied with Yonce and Pharrell Williams.

The 57th annual Grammy Awards takes place Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
