BJ The Chicago Kid Learns No One Escape Death On Schoolboy Q Assisted ‘It’s True’

BJ The Chicago forgoes his soulful vocals and opts to spit a few bars alongside Schoolboy Q on his new single “It’s True.”

Back in his Chi-Town ‘hood, BJ and Q post up at the famous Harolds Chicken Shack and enjoy a bucket of wings as BJ sadly reminisces about the loved ones he tragically lost. Originally, the crooner said he was hesitant about having Q on the track.

“I was initially very nervous playing this track for Schoolboy Q,” BJ told The FADER in an email. “It is a PSA. Its mission is to let people know that you do not have to be involved in gang-like activity to be affected by it, to be hurt or killed by it. This life is real and can hurt the most innocent of people.”

BJ isn’t lying on the hook when he says the cool ones die too.
