Cleveland Officer’s Fatal Shooting Of Tamir Rice Ruled As A Homicide

A Cleveland police officer’s fatal shooting of Tamir Rice has now been ruled a homicide.

The 12-year-old was gunned down by Officer Timothy Loehmann on Nov. 22 after they suspected the pre-teen’s BB gun was an actual fire weapon.

According to CNN, the medical examiner’s report states Rice “was killed by the police officer, rather than dying accidentally or by natural causes or by suicide.”

This case will also arrive before a grand jury in the coming weeks, following the recent protests of the no-indictment charges for the officers responsible for the death of Eric Garner and Michael Brown.
