Faith Evans Discusses Tupac’s ‘Offensive’ Sexual Advance

Faith Evans’ 2008 autobiography, Keep The Faith: A Memoir, raised a few eyebrows with the singer’s description of an encounter with Tupac.

After a recording session with the late rap legend for the track “Wonda Why They Call U Bitch,” Evans shared that she went to Pac’s hotel room to retrieve the $25,000 she was owed for the session, after which he made a sexual advance towards her. In a recent interview with Vlad TV, she discusses the scenario. According to Evans, when she inquired about her money in the hotel room, Tupac asked her for oral sex. She was asked to recount the manner of his comment.

“In a very surprising, and offensive way, for sure,” Evans said. “By that time I think it was pretty clear to me that that was kind of like a plan. Like, ‘You’ve been got.’ I allowed myself to be played and get into this situation, because this is totally not how I operate. That ain’t how I do business and that was not up for discussion. I was in LA to make my money. I’m very much about the coins.”

Evan also admitted that the choice to record a song with Tupac – who was signed to Death Row at the time – was not exactly a good idea, given the rift with Bad Boy. But she siad she was “oblivious” until a couple of years later.

“In my mind and in my heart, I didn’t know what I was walking into,” she said. “That’s one time that being so headstrong it didn’t serve me so well. It was a bad choice, but I didn’t know until then.”
