Lupe Fiasco Responds To Criticism For Defending Iggy Azalea With A Lengthy Twitter Blast

Last night (Dec. 22), Iggy Azalea finally spoke her piece after a weekend of controversy, including comments from Azealia Banks, Q-Tip and T.I. Calling the assumption that she has no knowledge of hip-hop history “patronizing,” the Aussie rapper began her reply by thanking and Lupe Fiasco, who both recently spoke out in her defense:

On Saturday, Lupe Fiasco took to Twitter to remark that Iggy had her own place in hip-hop, much to the chagrin of a few naysayers. And when the Grand Hustle first lady herself thanked him, it seems he got another swarm of criticism. Questioning the reasoning behind the backlash he received, he replied with a rant of his own: Lupe ended his Twitter blast by plugging Iggy’s Reclassified album and stating that “Money wins all wars.” His own Tetsuo & Youth drops on Jan. 20.
