Covering the January/February 2015 issue, Jaden and Willow’s mother gives us toned arms and abs and stuns in an orange swimsuit at 43. Work, Jada! Inside, she dishes on how fitness plays a key role in her sanity, her five-foot frame and foreplay with husband, Will.
Having an outlet to release and clear her head trumps looking great for the Gotham actress, who says, “the number one reason I go to the gym is because it keeps me sane—It gives me a place to exert energy, frustration, sadness, happiness, and joy. I don’t go to the gym just to look good. I go because it also keeps my head straight.”
Pinkett-Smith also talks the difference in her workout regime in comparison to twenty  years ago, saying she has a “hit it and quit it” mentality when in the gym. With a phrase like that, we know you’re thinking sex but Jada touches on a different kind of foreplay she’s experiencing in her marriage.
“It’s a big turn-on for me in a relationship to be spiritually and intellectually challenged by Will. To me, it’s like foreplay! Of course, I enjoy that I have sex in my relationship, but I think this other intellectual aspect is quite unique and something that strongly connect us.”
She goes on to cite Will as one of her biggest motivators declaring, “I love when Will looks at me and says, ‘You look so freaking good!’ When my husband of almost 20 years can’t take his eyes off of me? That’s amazing.”
