Here’s Proof President Obama Needs His Own Late Night Show

Fact: President Barack Obama does a pretty good Stephen Colbert. Appearing on The Colbert Report last night (Dec. 8), the nation’s Commander-in-chief took over the host’s chair for his own rendition of the show’s “The Word” segment. Aptly re-titled “The Decree” to make things a little more “presidential,” Obama talked candidly about his Obamacare healthcare reform as snarky commentary popped up alongside him. Proving his point, President Obama made Colbert’s job seem way easier than his own – and more fun. Colbert and Obama also got around to more (slightly) serious business. The two sat down for an interview in which the late-night host playfully grilled the president on issues regarding the economy, immigration and the now Republican-run Congress. Complete with perfectly-timed quips from both Obama and Colbert, their exchange was equally awkward and entertaining.
