Stream D’Angelo’s New Album ‘Black Messiah’

It’s truly hard to believe that a new D’Angelo album was just released in the last 24 hours. After years of waiting and wondering, the Black Messiah has laid out 15 new tracks to close out 2014. He teased us with “Suga Daddy,” but the wait is finally over.

In a message, the singer explained: “For me the title is about all of us. It’s about the world. It’s about an idea we can all aspire to. We should all aspire to be a Black Messiah.” D’Angelo goes on to explain that he felt compelled to drop the album based on the risings in Ferguson and Egypt. While all of the songs are not politically charged, the elusive singer a good amount are.definitely from political place.
