Social Media Shade or Truth: Karrine Steffans vs. Christina Milian on Lil' Wayne
We thought subbing was left in 2014, but apparently it's not as Karrine Steffans subbed some relationship advice to her... boo and his boo. This time it's Karrine Steffans vs. Christina Milian, with back and forth subs over Weezy F. Baby.
Christina Milian appeared on Wendy Williams and when the talk show host inquired about her rumored romance with Lil' Wayne, the singer lit up as bright as her dress and referred to him as her "Man crush everything." It's never a Wendy interview without the tea and when asked if they were sleeping together, Milian kept it cute. "We’re in the studio late at night. We’re at a skate park..how about that? Skateboard," in her best "Drunk In Love" rendition. We got it, girl.
She also posted a photo of Lil' Wayne on her Instagram, declaring the rapper as her #MCM (Man Crush Monday) "eeerday" and after both moves, Steffans wasn't having it anymore. Karrine followed suit and jumped on the 'gram to upload a street sign with the name, Wayne and not-so-subtly remind Milian of Weezy's ways. "And most importantly, little girl, be careful not to claim a man who belongs to the world." Oop.

Never one to back down, Christina followed up on the photo, on a blog's account, announcing to us all, #whatsmineismine. However to keep the party rolling, the author and former video vixen, shut it all down and reminded the singer to pay attention to relationship patterns. She then went on to retweet an article on Lil' Wayne cheating on Milian with model, Ashlee Monroe and a lengthy read to the singer.
"Here's the thing about life. Not everything is about you. And if someone says or does something that has nothing to do with you but, somehow, you feel convicted by it, that says a lot more about you and your insecurities than it does about the other person. Not everything is shade. Some shit is just the truth. But not every palm tree or personal truth belongs to you. Other people have experiences, too, and their account of those experiences has everything to do with them and nothing to do with you. Confidence is key and not everyone has it. This is obvious. Also, here's the thing about men. They do what they want, how they want, when they want, and with whom they want. Just like women. Because of this, be careful when pouring expectations into people. We all have a history but look at a person's patterns. I have mine. You have yours. The next person has theirs and they all tend to repeat. Know the difference between being one option on a very long list of options and being the one and only. Be truthful with yourself about the state of your affairs and you'll never be mad a day in your life. None of us belong to eachother and we all belong to God. Be well."
We'll see where this battle of Karrine Steffans vs. Christina Milian goes next!
