Naya Rivera Apologizes For ‘White People Shower More’ Comment

Glee actress Naya Rivera has found herself in a funky situation—no pun intended—when she shared her theory on the way different ethnic groups bathe while co-hosting, The View.

“White people shower a lot more than ethnics,” the Glee star said Tuesday (Jan 13) on the daily talk show. “I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing.”

Big Sean’s newlywed married ex returned to the show yesterday morning to apologize and explain her comments.

“I said that I thought that showering multiple times in a day was such a white person thing. It was supposed to be a joke. I apologize if anyone was offended. So yesterday we were talking about a study that says we are supposed to shower I guess once or twice every three days which I had an opinion on, it was supposed to be a joke but apparently didn’t go over so well. However, I’m very excited that it sparked a big conversation about how many times you should shower.”

When asked how many times does she shower a day, Naya revealed,” So the study says, a dermatologist says you are only supposed to shower once or twice every three days, so I’m right on the mark.”

Vixens, what’s your take on the entire hygiene conversation?
