Prince Harry Teaming With Carmelo Anthony For 'Coach Core' Graduation In London
New York Knicks All-Star Carmelo Anthony isn’t just making his mark in the U.S., but across the pond, as well.
In partnership with the NBA, Prince Harry and Melo will host the first graduation for the Royal Foundation’s Coach Core program, which trains young people to become professional sports mentors and coaches. They will also be joined by John Amaechi, one of the first English players to play for the NBA.
The ceremony will be held at St. James Palace on Wednesday, Jan 14, where 32 graduates will be awarded with certificates for completing the Coach Core program. It was developed by the Royal Foundation and started in 2012 to give underprivileged youth better opportunities through sports.
Prince Harry's brother, Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, recently attended the Brooklyn Nets-Cleveland Cavaliers game at the Barclays Center last month.
