Raven-Symoné Tanned Multiple Times To Be Darker For 'That's So Raven'
Now showing: TV and film updates from around the web
Raven-Symoné frequently hit the tanning bed while filming her Disney Channel show That's So Raven. For OWN's upcoming documentary Light Girls (the sequel to OWN's Dark Girls documentary, which aired in October 2013), light-skinned African American actresses sound off on the movie business and standards of beauty. Raven revealed, "When I had my own show, I used to tan three or four times a week in a tanning bed to get darker. I did. It's funny. One of the lighting guys came up—I love him to death; I love him, oh my goodness—he goes, 'Raven, I need you to stop tanning. You're getting too dark, and we have to relight the whole entire show. I was like, 'Sorry. I was just trying to be pretty.'" [HuffPo]
The Hollywood Reporter's new cover star Kevin Hart keep its P.C. with his thoughts on Bill Cosby's looming accusations: "Right now, it's a lot of speculation. All I can do is just say my prayers, and my wishes go out to all of the women who are potentially involved. His personal life has nothing to do with me. I can't control it. I will never try. It doesn't stop me from being an admirer of his work. His work and his personal life are two separate things."[THR]
