Ride or Die: Michelle Williams Confronts Mike Huckabee Over Beyoncé [VIDEO]
Don't come for Queen Bee! The Beyhive is fierce and relentless and will take down anybody who tries to slander Bey, including former Destiny Child's member Michelle Williams. After Mike Huckabee slammed Beyoncé for her risqué lyrics, calling her music "mental poison," Williams had something to say when she co-hosted The View Thursday when Huckabee was a guest. The Arkansas governor also came for Jay Z, alleging he was pimping out his wife as a sex object.
Michelle, 34, who now sings gospel, sounded off:
“As someone who has definitely come up in a group with her, has seen her hard work and who she is, I just feel like that album and those songs, it was that one moment where she decided to probably do some songs she has always wanted to do,” she explained, adding, “to shed that ‘I’m a good girl’ [image]. She had some freedom and she owned it and she took it. I was definitely offended — I’m not the Carter spokesperson — but to hear some of those comments that you said, I thought were very, very low.”
We all need friends like Michelle who will defend us in our absence. Go Michelle!
