Wale In Talks With Kanye West To Possibly Recreate The Washington Wizards Uniforms
Wale is a man with many jobs.
As the MMG emcee puts the finishing touches on his upcoming LP The Album About Nothing, out March 31st, Folarin spoke with ESPN Magazine for the publication's annual music issue about wanting to recreate the uniforms for his beloved Washington Wizards.
"I want to be a shot in the arm to DC basketball. My job is to provide a spark, at all costs. I'm not going to do anything corny, but I'm talking to Kanye about designing new uniforms. I want to see the phone booth rocking every time I come here." The Festivus spitter said.
Wale's love for sports isn't anything new and references the close relationship many of hip-hop's elite have with major NBA teams.
"There's a void I can fill. You've got Jay Z involved with the Nets, you've got Drake with the Raptors, Lupe's doing stuff with the World Cup. Most of us are young black dudes who sacrificed to provide for our families and do what we love, so that's a deep bond we have-in music and in sports," he said.
No word on how much talking has taken place between 'Ye and Wale, but when we find out, you'll find out.
