The Future Of Janelle Monae's Wondaland Records Is Very Bright
Janelle Monae and all her android charm is kicking off 2015 on a very high note. The head Electric Lady's Wondaland Records and Epic Records have officially launched a joint venture partnership with a brand new roster of talent. The new voices on the scene to look out for include Jidenna, Roman GianArthur, Deep Cotton and St. Beauty. “I’m so thrilled to share Wondaland Records with the world," Janelle Monae said in a statement. "Each artist under Wondaland Records has unparalleled talent, incredible vision, and brings something unique to the music industry. Together, we’re creating a new movement and space for the future of music and pop culture. I'm honored to be partnering with Epic Records and my friend LA Reid to present such extraordinary talent."

Wondaland's debut project will come in the form of a compilation LP, which is due this May. The album's lead single "Classic Man" comes from Jidenna, featuring Roman GianArthur. Monae's "Yoga" featuring Jidenna will also be a single. They've already begun shooting the video for "Classic Man" in New York, which will be directed by Solange's hubby, Alan Ferguson.
