Joey Bada$$’ ‘Like Me’ Video Plays Out Like A Real Life Tragedy

Moving forward with his most introspective project to date, Joey Bada$$ released the visuals for his soulful, BJ The Chicago Kid-assisted song, “Like Me.” Directed by Nathan R. Smith, Joey comes to the aid of a lady friend in the new video, while another young brother loses his life.

In the story, the Pro Era frontman rescues a troubled girl from her argumentative boyfriend, and shows her a good time as the two walk through the streets of the BK. Joey whispers sweet lyrics in her ear, but things turn sour when shorty’s ex seeks revenge by running up on the two lovebirds with a gold plated .38 Special. After a scuffle between the Bada$$ and the ex, the gun goes off and ends an innocent.
