Janelle Monae, Erykah Badu And More Show Face At Black Girls Rock After Party

Black Girls Rock went off without a hitch this past weekend. Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King were on hand to host the affair for the fourth consecutive time. The taped show—which will air on Sunday, April 5—tapped the likes of Jada Pinkett Smith, Ava DuVernay, Cicely Tyson, Michelle Obama and Erykah Badu to drop on-stage gems.

However, the fun continued at the star-studded after party. Hennessy V.S hosted the post reception, which brought out Janelle Monae, Fantasia, Lil Mama and many more. DJ Low Down Loretta Brown aka Erykah Badu held it down on the 1’s and 2’s.

In a separate occasion in Cambridge, MA, Sevyn Streeter hosted a shindig of her own at Naga Nightclub. She was in town promoting her single “Don’t Kill The Fun” with Chris Brown.
