Chance The Rapper Is Brilliant In His Self-Directed Short Film, ‘Mr. Happy’

Chance The Rapper is giving us a little something while we wait for Surf, his next album with his band, The Social Experiment.

Chance took to Twitter to reveal Mr. Happy, the short film he not only stars in but also made his directorial debut for. The film is about a boy name Victor [Chance The Rapper] who’s stuck at a dead end job, recently caught his ex-girlfriend cheating and is on the verge of killing himself. After multiple failed suicide attempts, Victor then finds the website Mr.Happy.com, where he can hire someone to end his life the way he wants.

After his very expensive purchase he finds new happiness in a love interest, and no longer wants to continue with his arrangements. The plot thickens when Victor and his new love interest go away on a Valentines Day getaway.

I made a short film with my good friend/director Colin Tilley. #MrHappy tmw

The film is co-directed by Colin Tilley, who’s directed videos for Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, and Pusha T, to name a few. Check out the brilliant film below.
