Drake Sings ‘Legend’ During An Emotional Moment In Sydney

While making his way through New Zealand and Australia, Drake’s current headlining tour saw an emotional moment during the rapper’s close-out of his show at the Allphones Arena in Sydney (Feb. 25). Reminiscing on his early days of performing in a band for no pay, Drizzy marked the show as one of his most memorable.

“I just wanna tell you: for me to be out in Sydney, Australia and see you guys come out of pocket, spend your money to come see me talk shit on stage […] I go a lot places, I see a lot of faces, but this is a night that I’ll remember for the rest of my fucking life, thank you,” he said.

Ensuring his Sydney fans that he would return, Drake also employed his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late track “Legend” in his closing remarks.

“I’m not really sure where life is gonna take me after this. I could go places, and they could either try and crown me, or they can try and kill me. But one thing I’ll remember about tonight is: ‘Oh my God, Oh my God if I die, I’m a legend.’”
