Justin Bieber's Album Is Getting The Midas Touch From Kanye West And Rick Rubin
It may seem like Comedy Central’s birthday roast session for Justin Bieber may not have been all jokes. In fact, it may have been the beginning of something new for the singer.
After Kevin Hart, Snoop Dogg, Shaq, Martha Stewart and others let the young YouTube star have it, he spoke at the end of it all with a very mature speech.
“I was thrown into this at 12 years old," he said. "And I didn't really know what I was getting myself into. There've been moments I'm really proud of, and a lot of moments I look back and I'm pretty disappointed in myself for. I'm a kindhearted person who loves people, and through it all I lost some of my best qualities. For that, I'm sorry."
As he gears up for his next album, he plans on working with talents like Kanye West and Rick Rubin. Bieber told USA Today, “I’m finishing up the album now, working with Kanye and Rick. I’m not rushing it, I’ll just wait until it’s totally done."
He continued by talking about the forthcoming LP's content. "[The album] was done but it didn’t match up to where I am now and where my head’s at,” he said. “I want to tell my story, but I also want to give people hope. I lost hope for a while, I was in a dark place, but it’s about getting out of that rut. It’s about knowing there’s sunshine on the other side.”
