Damn 'Ye: 60,000 People REALLY Don't Want Kanye West To Perform At Glastonbury
Almost 60,000 people signed a petition asking Glastonbury Festival to remove Kanye West from the bill.
Kanye West's various accomplishments have been the talk of the town for the last few weeks. From his successful Adidas Yeezy Boost launch and first New York Fashion Week show to new music gigs, things have been in the green for 'Ye. That is, until the Glastonbury Festival.
Just three days ago (Mar. 16), the London fest (which runs from June 24-28) excitedly announced that Kanye would be following in Jay Z's footsteps as the big headliner.
We're very excited to announce that @kanyewest will headline the Saturday night at Glastonbury 2015.

But then, the big news was met with dissatisfaction instead of jubilation across the pond. A petition has been circulating around the 'net asking Glastonbury to "cancel Kanye West's headline slot and get a rock band." So far, nearly 60,000 people have signed the petition.
Petition-starter Neil Lonsdale argues that having West as the headliner would be a "musical injustice" and "an insult to music fans all over the world." Harsh, much?
So far, Glastonbury hasn't responded to the petitioners.
