The Hood Bum-Rushes The Government On Kendrick Lamar's Album Cover
K.Dot's going for iconic with the cover art for his forthcoming album.
From every biting stanza to every DOOT DOOT DOOT ad-lib to every piece of artwork released, Kendrick Lamar always goes for iconic with his craft.
With the March 23 release date of his (untitled for now) album inching nearer, K.Dot finally shares another slice of TDE's best kept secret: the cover artwork. On it, we find a black and white image of what looks like a mob of black men flashing middle fingers, cash wads, liquor bottles and big grins overtaking an old white judge.
The Instagram caption for the image seems to be some lyrics from "lil homie" buried somewhere on the LP: "Don't all dogs go to heaven? Don't Gangsta's boogie? Do owl shit stank? Lions, Tigers & Bears. But TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY. Its the American dream nigga...."
Hmm... Is that an album title hint or nah?
Is it safe to assume that this album is going to be a massage dosage of political statements and societal concepts a la "The Blacker The Berry" and his untitled Colbert Report performance? We'll just have to impatiently wait and see.
