Raven Symone Stirs Up Social Media Again With Geography Mishap
Famed actress Raven Symoné is causing another wave of controversy on social media again, and it's not mainly for her comments on race this time, but her geographical mishap.
For a sit down with #VIBELeague member Alicia Quarles, the E! News correspondent asked Raven about her ancestry and her comments during a previous interview with Oprah, to which the ATL native mentioned, "I never said I wasn't black, I said I wasn't African American -- to me, that's a difference.
Talking about her cultural lineage thanks to a DNA test from ancestry.com, Raven also stated, "I am from every continent in Africa except for one and I'm also from every continent in Europe except for one."
What she obviously meant to say was that she's from every country -- apart from one -- on those aforementioned continents, but the Internet showed no mercy.

Earlier this month the Empire co-star stopped by The View where she discussed anchor Rodner Figueroa's racist comment on First Lady Michelle Obama, stating that she looks like she's part of the cast from the movie Planet of the Apes. Raven replied, "I don't think he was saying it racist-like" not disputing the anchor's statement, who was then fired from his job at Univision.
