A New Rihanna Documentary Is On The Way

Rihanna is easing her way back into our lives; first with snippets of new music, then with news of her upcoming iHeartRadio Awards performance, and now with the news of a documentary in the works.

Filmmaker Peter Berg, who worked with Rihanna on the film Battleship recently launched his new production company, Film 45, according to Deadline. He also announced one of his first projects will be a documentary on the “FourFiveSeconds” singer. Berg said the project will be “much more a character study than a music film.”

The forthcoming project is heavily inspired by the documentary Don’t Look Back, a film that followed iconic musician Bob Dylan through his transition from folk to rock during his 1965 tour in the United Kingdom. The film Berg said, will showcase an “unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon.”

An official date or timeline for the Rih documentary has yet to be released, so we’ll just continue to patiently wait, like we’ve been doing for that R8 album. – Cook T.P.
